I was just like you. I thought I was destined to live paycheck to paycheck like my mom—never to accomplish anything significant or live like the 1%.

I still remember my first sale. I walked up to an old lady in her driveway, and she invited me inside. It was what we call a “lay down.” She loved the idea of simply paying less for her power bill, and I made nearly $1,500 on that job. At the time, that was what I made in two weeks at my full-time job. That moment changed everything.

From that point on, I was hooked. I built my own solar sales team, grinding away for years—recruiting, losing people, rebuilding, and scaling. Eventually, we made the leap to becoming an installation partner. Not only did we dominate inside sales, but we also started bringing on sales dealerships to install for them. That shift opened doors I never imagined.

Because of this journey, I’ve taken countless vacations, bought multiple homes (I currently own five), and started several businesses—including a thriving sales team, an install company, a consulting firm, and a real estate portfolio. But I’ve also made countless mistakes along the way—mistakes that cost me time, money, and growth. If I had known then what I know now, I’d be much further ahead.
